A security flaw in Facebook's servers has caused a leak of several private photographs of its president and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, which were posted on his profile on the popular social networking site. However, rumours are circulating on the site about the possibility that the images have been published to promote Zuckerberg's image.
 
The photos leaked on Tuesday include the young American billionaire with his girlfriend, Priscilla Chan, in the kitchen of his home in Palo Alto (California), playing with his dog and having a good time with some friends.

The image leak was possible after a Facebook user accessed the private profile of the social network's founder, after finding a security loophole, as detailed in the New York Post newspaper. In one of the images he appears holding a dead chicken by the legs and another one shows off a meal cooked by Zuckerberg himself, who has publicly confessed that he only eats meat from animals that he has killed himself.

The leak comes amid an intense debate on security issues in Facebook, which has even led several legislators to demand that the social network take action to address privacy violations of its 800 million users.

Zuckerberg, age 27 and with fortune worth around 17.5 billion dollars according to Forbes magazine, has also been crowned as the most promising entrepreneur under forty by Fortune magazine.
