My vacation is not in ruins

My vacation is not in ruins

The beach or the mountains? A destination in Spain or one abroad? Or better yet...stay at home? The summer is here and sooner or later, most of us will mentally calculate how much we're going to spend on our holiday. The salary bonus always gives a breathing space, but if we are climbing a slope since January that we have not yet finished, we must be ask ourselves how we are going to enjoy our summer days financially. Holidays are, among other things, to unwind from daily routine and relax, and if we plan it well we need not have a hole in our pocket when we go home.

1. What is my budget? First of all, calculate the budget to spend on your holiday and what effect it will have on your financial life for the rest of the year. Give yourself a spending limit and control it as the days go by.

2. What are my spending priorities? Calculate and know your spending priorities well. Keep in mind if you are going to eat out, if you plan to use the car very often or if you have to pay rent on an apartment.

3. What will I do during my vacation? Set aside some of your money to spend on activities that may arise during the summer.

4. Where did I leave my money? I'm going on vacation, my money isn't. Before the start of summer, you should review and verify the composition of your assets. Pay special attention to the expiration date of products that you have contracted: many are renewed automatically and with worse payment conditions.

5. What form of payment am I going to use? Decide on the method of payment that best suits your holiday: cash, foreign currency, credit cards or travellers checks. When you finance your summer, keep in mind the fees, risks of loss or theft, as well as the possibility of refunds in the case of an unused balance.

6. During my vacation am I going to be exposed to many risks? It is important that you evaluate the risks you are going to face during the holidays. For example, if you make a trip to a foreign country, then consider the possibility of contracting some form of insurance against accidents, theft or loss; a small investment can save a lot of trouble.
